Located on the ground floor of the Roy Morgan building, the Collins Street Gallery is an unexpected artistic oasis just steps away from one of Melbourne’s busiest corporate thoroughfares.
Since it opened in 1988, Collins Street Gallery has gained a reputation for representing an impressive range of contemporary Australian artists. Its regular exhibitions are well attended and its collection of early Australian studio pottery (which is on permanent display) ranks among the world’s finest.
As well as paintings by artists like Peter Russell-Clarke, Jane Flowers and Kathy Golski, the gallery exhibits some contemporary sculpture and furniture from time to time.
